Default Gmail LED notfication no longer works

Just this morning, my Gmail LED light no longer comes of when I get an email. I re-installed Gmail, tried K9 email app and manually set it to show up when I get an email, but nothing helps!

Oddly enough, something happened to my phone last night in which all the songs I picked for notifications such as personal ringtones and alarm songs were reset to factory, while everything else has been fine.

Thanks.

Sounds like your phone may have had some sort of weird issue. if you're not rooted, then you should be getting notifications - but if your phone just got updated to FroYo, then the light only works when the screen is off. That was a new 'feature' of FroYo that we, pretty much collectively, did not like.

Check to see if it works when the screen is off - if so, then it was a system update (which makes sense, since your notifications were reset as well).

If it still does not work, you might want to search the market for an LED tester to see if the LED itself has gone bad.
