Default Battery Problem

I've been having trouble with my battery this weekend. I go to charge it up, the white light comes on that shows its charging, when I turn the screen on the phone says its charging, but it isn't charging. I went to sleep and had it plugged in overnight and it didn't charge at all. Then today I used my other charger for 4 hours and nothing, still at the original level as before. Tried again a third time, same thing. I've had my Droid since February 2010 and am still using the original stock battery. I tried re-booting the phone several times throughout and removing the battery and replacing, but this didn't help.

I'm a novice at this stuff, so do I just need a new battery? I was going to pick a new one up tomorrow.

Might not be a bad idea. However, try this:

Plug in the charger, then turn your screen *off* and let it sit overnight.
