When sharing contacts between people in my office, I always get .csv files when asking for a contact. This is used with Outlook and my old Blackberry supported it. My Droid, doesn't (pun not intended). Getting the contact via the Gmial on my PC doesn't work either. So, is there a good app that will "translate" .csv contacts to work with my gmail contacts/Droid?
I have Bump installed, which is pretty cool, but not useful with other blackberry's or receiving .csv's in Gmail.
Can't you import it via the contacts section of gmail, upon which it will appear on your Droid? Click contacts in gmail, then click import in upper right corner. Says it supports csv importing, which I think is how I did it awhile ago...
There is a perfect app called iCSV Address Book in Android market. You can import contacts from any CSV file copied on your SD card. In addition it provide an easy way to export contacts to CSV file for sharing.

I knew nothing of Android, nor did I have a gmail account, back in November when I got the Droid. I bought it spur of the moment, since it was offered as a b-day present, and I was looking to parlay my Fios account into a "tripple play bundle". The Droid happened to meet "most" of my requirements at the time, unfortunately, it was only 1 of about 3 which did, and still do.
But no, I did not know just how invasive google's product suite could be, even though most of it is elective, as I've never used any of their offerings, save google.com's "search".
Not sure how much this would help the OP but the next version of my app Listables (see my sig) supports exporting contacts via vCard/vcf. The update should be out this week too. I already have it working just putting the finishing touches on. I have been thinking of adding CSV support too but that wont come until later.
