Default 1 unread message in Handcent widget

I think I remember seeing others with this issue before, but I can't find anything about it. My handcent widget shows one unread message, but i have none unread.

Deleted all, rebooted phone, reinstalled Handcent, but still 1 unread message.
Anyone know how to fix?

Send yourself another txt and delete that one. See if the notification clears up.

Tried, same thing, still showing one unread. I swear I remember seeing a batch or .exe file that someone made that fixes this. It is driving me nuts.

I always get that whenever I send an MMS to someone. It tells me I have an unread message, open my thread with the MMS, it goes away. Doesn't sound like your issue, but seems like a bug.

Well, I received an MMS from someone, and it seemed to fix itself.

I get this a lot when I reply to a message using the pop-up.
I then have to open Handcent and just touch the last message. The outstanding notification then goes away.
Again this only happens when replying with the quick pop-up not when in the Handcent app itself.
Hope this helps.

The only thing I have seen with Handcent is I'll get a txt and will see it come through on the Notification bar and then when I go into my messages, that message isn't listed anywhere, it just gets lost or something....

Happens rarely, from what I can tell as I have only noticed it two or three times, but who knows how many times I didn't notice it...

I had this happen before with a different phone. It was a problem on Verizon's side and they had to resent my message counter or something like that. It was nothing that could be fixed on the phone side.

did anyone ever find a solution for this?

i've got a similar problem - but with 'messaging' (the default app) doing it when Handcent is installed.
