I think I remember seeing others with this issue before, but I can't find anything about it. My handcent widget shows one unread message, but i have none unread.
Deleted all, rebooted phone, reinstalled Handcent, but still 1 unread message.
Anyone know how to fix?

I always get that whenever I send an MMS to someone. It tells me I have an unread message, open my thread with the MMS, it goes away. Doesn't sound like your issue, but seems like a bug.

Well, I received an MMS from someone, and it seemed to fix itself.
I get this a lot when I reply to a message using the pop-up.
I then have to open Handcent and just touch the last message. The outstanding notification then goes away.
Again this only happens when replying with the quick pop-up not when in the Handcent app itself.
Hope this helps.

Happens rarely, from what I can tell as I have only noticed it two or three times, but who knows how many times I didn't notice it...
I had this happen before with a different phone. It was a problem on Verizon's side and they had to resent my message counter or something like that. It was nothing that could be fixed on the phone side.
