Default Changing Contact Icon

I was wondering if there was a way to change my own Contact Icon, the icon displayed next to "Me" in text message conversations. I think my screen was on in my pocket and I some how changed the photo to some one else on my contacts list and can't see to change it back to my own photo.

Which SMS app are you using? If you are using Handcent, you simply long-press on your icon, and then change the Account Image.

Otherwise, you may be able to change the image if you add your own number to your contact list. Edit the contact information from the list then...

I used Handcent before but I didn't like it. I'm just using the default messaging system. A friend of mine recommended that I add "Me" and set the photo to whatever I want, but it didn't work. Is there something I'm missing?
