Default Droid 1 "use wireless networks" kills Wifi connection.

Very strange problem.
i am running android version 2.2.2
Build number FRG83G
the phone is rooted with superoneclick.

i have turn on >location and security>"use wireless networks"
if this is checked with GPS then when you first load up
browser to go to google home page, you will see near the end of the status load bar a GPS flashing icon to send google your current location.
When the GPS flashing icon is about to load for me then it drops my wifi connection.

however, if i use the google map it also turn on the GPS flashing icon to show GPS is active, but my wifi is still connected.

Anyone know what is the problem with this?
Thanks

Yeah, it is supposed to. But some how i guess sending current location via GPS to google kills my wifi. not sure why is that.

Wondering if anyone here has figured this out or even experienced it.
