So I was using a HTC Eris on Pageplus, had the data connection turned off, since I didn't have a data plan. A friend gave me his Moto Droid, i had Kitty Wireless swap my service and plan over to new ESN (Droid). Everything went without a hitch.

However, now my Droid won't download the pic messages. My Eris would, but Droid wont, unless I turn on the 3G radio. I never had to do this with the Eris, I did notice the the 3G icon would light up occasionally. But the Eris would just receive the MMS and display the picture. No interaction needed.
Droid gives me the Download ? but won't download unless radio is on.

What gives?
