Default facebook notifications

I've been having trouble getting my facebook notifications that pop up on my mac to be shown on my droid notification panel. my first theory is that i created my facebook account with something other than the gmail account my droid is syncing with. could there be a solution to where i don't have to re-create my facebook under my gmail account?

Your Facebook login should not be the issue, as it goes off Facebook itself not Gmail. Facebook is always an issue with these phones though, most of the time it is something that Facebook has changed.

For getting notifications, you will never get them instantly. All the apps do timed intervals to check the site for notifications. And I believe that aside from the official FB app, you have to actually link them to your account and allow them. But you are usually prompted to do this upon opening the app after install.
