Default "Email Account" missing from Shortcuts

I've been using Android for a few years now, and I'm not a n00b by any means. but this problem is completely baffling.

On my phone, a Droid 4 (running 2.3.6), when I attempt to add a shortcut to the home screen, one of the options I'm presented with is Email Account, which allows me to add a shortcut directly to one of my multiple email accounts. It's on the shortcut list right between Directions & Navigation and Gmail tags.

On my wife's Droid Pro, (running 2.3.4), however, this shortcut is missing!

AAAGRRRGGGHH! Where the %$#&*%@! did it go!!!???

Cheers!

Gregory
