The Verizon High Gloss Silicone Cover arrived today, it isn't soft silicone, it's the hard silicone that's pretty stiff but still flexible. It fits real nice, if you have questions let me know.

I am definitely getting this one. Too bad it has the big ugly cutout in the back, though. How did you get this (the case) a week early?
I just called Verizon and said that I wanted to order a case for my Droid X. For some reason I got a 25% "corporate" discount and the case and the HDMI cable.
Not bad for a Silicon case, but the design is rather tacky and cheap looking...though something tells me the price doesn't reflect this (out of curiosity, just how much did you pay?).
I think I'm sold on one of Amzer's offerings until I see another major company put out something as decent.

Is it covering up ports? Why does verizon put out cases that are made wrong or cover up ports. I remember for my Dare, the port cut outs were on the wrong side. Can you confirm?
I really liked this style of case on my incredible. I'm disappointed to see that it still has the huge cutout on the back. I figured they'd at least update the case to the released version of the phone. Maybe the cases released on launch will not have this??

Still nice case and thanks for posting pics!
I believe there is need for a cutout on the back due to a mic being there, although it probably does not need to be that ginormous.

The cutout is large and off-center so it didn't cover some unknown component in the first version of the DX. On the release version they removed whatever this was and unfortunately it looks like they didn't change the case.
What's with VZW making these ugly gloss cases? They did the same thing with the Incredible, they are difficult to put on and almost feel slick to the touch. I personally don't like them at all, I plan on waiting for case-mate to come out with something for the X.

I love these slick cases and they are extremely easy to put on... Love how its more protection than hard cases and not as rubbery/sticky when sliding in and out of pockets like silicone gel.
I just got this black, high gloss silicon cover and put it on my Droid X. It's the best case so far. It's the thinnest case you can get, and looks and feels better than the regular, cheap silicon cases that look dull, collect dust, and stretch out too much over time.

OP,
I wish you took a pic of the screen with the screen being ON so I can see the effects of the Verizon Screen protector. Does it make it noticeably darker? Is the feel noticeably not as smooth as the naked screen?
Device(s): Droid X...CM7 flashed nightly, and occasionally switched back to Liberty GB 0.8.
