Question Can anyone recommend a good case for the X?

Speck Products - Stylish and Protective iPod, iPhone, iPad, Macbook, Blackberry, GPS and Kindle Case Solutions

My dad has a speck case for his ipod touch that i bought him, and it is exactly what i'm looking for for my X. However, they don't make products for motorola so i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I really want to protect this thing so i can resell it next year when my contract is up.

I haven't found a good one, but I DONT recommend the red/blue or black cases from Best Buy. They're terrible, over priced and the clips don't stay snapped together. I think i want the Body Glove case.

I got the Body Glove when I purchased the Dx and am very happy with it. It has a nice tacky feel, fits right and appears to provide plenty of padding to protect the phone. They had a small one, more of a bumper than a case, I didn't feel it provided enough protection.

i got the case/holster combo from verizon. a nice rubberish back case, and it slides into a holster with a belt clip.

I bought the Verizon high gloss silicone case and i love it, its actually pretty hard for a silicone case. I usually hate silicone cases but this one is awesome.

That was my plan, too. But when I looked at that case on Amazon it was out of stock and I never got around to looking for something else.

I got the blue one and it is a great case but the design on the back makes it seem kind of girly and I'm not a girl.

+2 on that. Got the case and holster from vzw. I like the case as it is very slim. And the holster works with or without the case. I was wondering about a wireless charger case like the touchstone for palm

I have to disagree on this. I tried the body glove and the kick stand case from Verizon, both are nice but felt to thick, The case from Best Buy (rocketdog) feels to me like many of the Seidio cases I have tried and its nice and thin. I Love it!! And they have dark blue, red and Black all of them look nice and my case clipped together firm and does not feel flimsy.

I have this case as well, and I pretty much agree with this poster. I really like this case, and even though it is -slightly- thicker than other cases, it feels nice and is in no way an encumbrance.

The phone goes in face first correct ? I was gonna get the leather case but I think I like this better as long as the glass is not facing to the outside.

I got the leather holster with the magnetic flap from Verizon whn I got my phone. It was $24.99. It works great for me. I'm waiting on them to get the soft cover and screen protectors. They said it would fit in this holster with the soft covers but I don't see how.

From what I read, the belt clip can be removed from the case. I bought this case with my DX, both should be delivered tomorrow

I got the case/holster combo from Verizon and the desk dock, but the X won't fit in the dock with the case on it. I'm not going to take it off every night and put it back on in the morning, so I'm trying to figure out my options. It's a pretty tight fit, so I don't really think that the X will fit in the dock with any case that actually does a reasonable job of protection. I've actually thought about modding the dock so that the cased X will fit, because I don't know any other way (unless I take both of them back to Verizon and wait for Seido to come out with a dock and case/holster for the X - since they made a dock that a Droid wearing one of their cases would fit into)

These are available already? On their web site it says they are not available until 7.22.2010. Can you upload pictures of your DX in the case?

I won't be using any case with this one, simply because i want to fit it in the dock, rather i will be using th Phantom skinz carbon fiber skin thingy. They come with two screen protectors, also... they retail for $29.95, i know it is pricey but the reviews on u-tube are really good.

As of right now, 3rd party accessories being offered, especially cases are slim to none. Which isn't surprising, considering the amount of support companies have thrown at the new iPhone4. Give it a month or two and hopefully we'll start seeing some more options.

But for right now, you'll be looking at either something directly from VZW or Amzer.

You got that right about the iPhone mecca case & accessory party. Where is that kid from Best Buy when you need a new cartoon video?

Did try to sign up for notification on Sedio Online for X accessory release and their mailbox for it has been full since last Thursday.

I do not have a link but the local Best Buy here has a ton of them in all 3 colors.

And as of today this case is still the best case I have tried for the X.

I would suggest stopping by your local BB and ask them?

I called 5 of them and found them in black at one store. Going there this afternoon.

UPDATE: Got one and it is similar to a Seidio, which I like. It's actually a Rocketfish case. The 2 immediate downers are the inside of the case is not felt lined and the corner where the HDMI port is (there is a notch for a lanyard tie) is completely exposed (so if you're luck is like mine, you drop the phone on concrete and that's the area where it lands). Will work on getting some pictures later today.

Also, with the car dock the case will appear to fit with a modification. When you remove the dock insert, there is a "nub" used for guiding the insert in to position. One could remove the nub and the phone with this case does appear to fit quite nicely. More on that if I can talk my stones in to modifying a $40 dock over one little piece of plastic. Not much for modification (especially when it's my stuff ).

I was going to put a Zagg on mine, but I kinda like the fact I can put different colors on mine and the wifes.

I went to a local VZW store and tried out 6-7 cases. I ended up getting the shiny silicone one for myself and the kickstand case for my wife. I keep my phone in my pocket so I wanted something very thin, but would protect the sides and back from my keys. My wife keeps hers in her purse so bulk was less of an issue, and the kickstand was a pretty nice feature. The leather on the kickstand case has a nice premium feel, even though it's probably a paper-thin covering.

EDIT: I also want to point out that I got a corporate discount on my accessories in-store. Make sure you mention it!
