Best Case for Dock User?

Hi there,

I am new to this forum. Longtime Blackberry User made the switch.

I really enjoy the multimedia dock, especially so I can use it as an alarm clock and make sure I don't hose the USB port.

Because no-one (argh Seidio) seems to have a dock/case/holster combo for this phone, I am looking for a hardcase/holster combo that is REALLY easy to take on and off at night so I can dock the phone without bricking the case in three days.

I have always used the Innocase Surface products by Seidio, but I don't know how it works on the X and if its easy to get on and off or I will fight with it and break it quickly.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I have a silicone sleeve for now, but I am not happy of course with that level of protection, plus I need a holster anyway.

I just got my DX and I got both docks car/home. I made the decision to use a screen protector (have not done that with any of my iPhones) and to use an old Handspring Visor Red and Black velcro case. I can carry the phone safely and dock it as needed. I think I am happy

A friend has the Verizon case/holster and with just a little bit of trimming it will fit the Motorola car dock. The left edge just needs to be trimmed down some. Not sure about fitment in the desk dock though. I have a generic rubber case/cover on mine which is real easy to remove so that I can put it in the car dock. Although I'm getting tired of carrying it in my pocket, so I'm going to go the holster route as well.

I have been considering a purchase of this case for a while now, I am a bit worried the the aluminum would affect reception though..

What I DO like is that it is hinged and easy to open, I hate how a lot of hard cases are hard to open, the clips break too easily. Of course taking the phone out of the case makes it work with all the docks.

I'd have bought this by now if it was made out of plastic, is that so much to ask?

I have a super thin case i got off ebay and it works great! I did trim a lil on my oem media dock and the oem car dock. The oem is actually made to use with the oem waffle textured case so all you need to trim is the 2 lil notches that stick out in the back on each of the dock. Takes about a mminutes with a dremel. I'll try to put a link and some pics later. But if you look it up on ebay it's the "rubberized case ". It's just like the rocketfish case but tons cheaper, like identical lol.
