I've tried that, when I use the "overclock.sh 1150000 45" and check the settings with "cat /proc/overclock/mpu_opps" the frequency is changed but the voltage is still at 66.
I found this to be true too. I eventually went to the setscaling method.

If you are root, then you can use it to UNDERCLOCK your phone. You still have to use the overclock.sh method to overclock the phone.
One quick question: Do you download the files via computer, or via droid x? When i try to put them on my sd card, it says i have to use a different disk, or take write-protection off.

You will occasionally get a glitched score that is really high for some reason. Also there is the possibility that you have the build.prop file with the stagefright edit that gives a false high score by skipping part of the test. Someone got one that was 4000+ a while ago.

Froyo is a no go for now, buddy... the kernel module only works with 2.1..
Just fyi there is an app on the market called Milestone/Droid Overclock which supports Droid X running 2.1 apparently it will set overclock on boot also. Being free doesn't hurt either.
Device(s): Rooted HTC incredible with sucky battery life no matter what i do.
