coming from moto droid rooted, rom manager, setcpu, all that. got the x on release day. i know we can root and oc now, but are there any custom roms that will work with the droid x ? thanks!

No, not until we get a custom recovery.

i just read ... not 1 minute ago on droid-life.com .... that birdman has busted out custom recovery. it's the latest post. i guess that answers my question.

He may have gotten into the custom recovery, but apparently he can't even boot the thing back up into Android yet. Bootloader is still locked down and there aren't any ROMs that will work right now. A lot might very well be possible very soon, but it isn't yet.
