got stuck on MOTO loop, just like when i tried the leaked version.
doing SBF now.
i wonder if it was cuz i had a different boot screen.
will update after. SBF/cache wipe/reset
Update : sbf not working like it did last time....now i get... on the X
MEM_MAP Blank
Service req'd
OK to program.
did the update somehow stop the old SBF file from working?
how long before a new SBF file is out?
need help.....thanks
i cannot get the phone to where i can select factory restore...
I'm having the same problem. It just got stuck on the M screen and never recovered from that... But my phone was completely stock and I did the official OTA

you should try factory resetting (Hold Pwr+Home) and SBF Flashing, as you might not have this issue.

Just FYI:
WARNING: DO NOT DOWNGRADE TO 2.1 SBF FROM THE 2.2 OTA, YOU WILL BE BRICKED! UNTILL WE GET A 2.2 SBF LEAK
This tweet:
my "fix" wont work sadly, i was running tests to see if my idea would work when i figured out the signatures changed
Came BEFORE this one:
Please retweet, everyones about to wake up! DO NOT DOWNGRADE TO 2.1 SBF FROM THE 2.2 OTA, YOU WILL BE BRICKED! UNTILL WE GET A 2.2 SBF LEAK
I'm Afraid that means that all those with this issue are going to have to wait until the sbf is actually leaked.. which means an employee with access to the sbf would have to leak it to the public.
same problem here...was posted on droid forums that hopefully the vzw stores will have a current 2.2 sbf to program it...
i hope so, because i cant use my phone
just woke up and it looks like theres still no fix..(dang) I'm gonna suck down a can of mountian dew and hit the verizon store and play dumb! this sucks!!
EDIT: went to Verizon, the rep looked on his PC said there was at least a 100 similar problems and no fix. sending out a replacement, 2 day fedX...

Yeah I called and they did overnight shipping. Said it will be here by tommorow with 2.2 preloaded on it.

My DX was stock 2.1, no root, and it still stuck on the Motorola logo during the OTA update. Battery pull and even a fresh battery did not help, which apparently had solved the others people had brought in to the store I stopped by, so I also have a new phone coming (however, I had to pay for overnight rather than second day delivery).
At one point they asked if I had moved the phone during the update and I responded that I had moved it from one room to another. The Verizon rep said that they had encountered problems with previous Froyo updates for the Droid and Incredible when people moved the phones during the process. Apparently any glitch in the network or switch in the tower can cause this type of problem. So they suggested that I leave the phone sitting in one location and on a charger for any future updates.

Factory reset will not work. I am sure Verizon has all the tools needed to flash the new 2.2 bootloader and image. They will not flash it back to 2.1 anymore.
got replacement phone today it was 2.1. did update, after it installed the moto logo was only on for maybe a minute! the droid eye, took a couple. but this was a LOT faster then the first update on my phone (old phone) i had to factory reset on the first update. its got me thinking that my first phone was possessed! but now im running a rooted 2.2 X..
