Default Stock "News and Weather" Apk
Does anyone happen to have a copy of the stock news and weather widget lying around. I really liked that widget and its not on the Rubix rom. If someone has it themed in black or with white letters that would be better. Thanks guys. Plus anyone for google search themed in black too?

Is that the one that combines weather and news together? I have both of them in my / system/app/ folder. So its probably not the right one.

Been trying to get the Genie Widget to install for hours now without success. Each time I get an error message "application not installed" but no other details. Used the version in post #4 above. Any help??

you need to use either root explorer to place it in the system/apps folder or use adb to push it to that directory. it can not be installed like a regular apk.

@tom108 - I noticed the screenshot in your signature this morning. Do you have a transparent version of this widget or are you using a theme to give it that look? Would appreciate the transparent version if you have.

are you talking about the time and weather widget? that is beautiful widgets and i just used the option to turn off background.

hey so I also was looking this app...thanx. I used root explorer to place it in the systems app folder but way exactly did u mean by change permissions for user and how do I go about doin that??
