Please note, this has ZERO blur, except for settings, which isn't even blurry. Please do not ask me to add back in blur features, that's not the point of this rom, nor can I support ANY blur features that are not already in here.
There WILL be hot patches within the next couple of days for features I want to add but haven't gotten around to it.
I'm working on a fix for 3G HotSpot App still, please do not ask about this, I'll let you guys know when I get it to work
I like it too, however I do miss some of useful Blur stuff. The interesting thing on other ROMs you can install blur apks through TE or with Root Explorer, but not on this one. So, if you like multitouch keyboard or BlurAlarm, or hacked 3G HotSpot.... not going to happened, unless I'm missing something

If you have the .apk file for any of the blur applications you can add them back you. You just need to use root explorer and move them from your SD card to the system/app file and then set the permissions to Read for all groups and Write for User only and then reboot your phone and you will have it again.
I switched from ApeX to this last night and I am loving this as well so far. Have almost everything set back up and not having any issues. The only thing I miss is the keyboard that was on the ApeX rom. If anyone knows where I could get that it would be great.

If I'm not mistaken it's there, there is just no option for it.. if it makes sense
Tried it today just to see. Google Maps worked okay, but a little slow. Not bad, though. VZ Nav wouldn't work at all and said GPS needed to be turned on, even though it was. Back to Apex for now..
Device(s): Droid X...CM7 flashed nightly, and occasionally switched back to Liberty GB 0.8.

I'm going to get a little crazy and try to install the DX keyboard zip from the fission add-ons folder over this rom. Wish me luck!
Edit: it works just fine. Just reboot into recovery then install from zip after mounting. Sorry i don't have a way to post the zip file to download if you need it.

Reason: awesomeness
Thanks for tip, but that exactly what I was doing, just read read my post. None of blur apps I tried to install with Root Explorer actually worked. Multitouch keyboard-failed, blur alarm-failed, blur email-failed.

have you tried this JARubiX update? If so did you try it with the Black Juice Theme? Wondering if it will lose the 10% battery increments if I install the theme over the ROM as it says in that thread.
sbf the same as you have already done...i have used the sbf numerous times and it always works
Yeah, I couldn't get to it at first, since computer didn't recognize the phone via USB. Then I found you need to hold camera and volume up while powering on instead of home. Got into the bootloader fine, and SBF'd and started from scratch.
Like this ROM a lot. Only things I miss are facebook pics integrated into contacts, and the bubble style messaging app...?

I use SyncMyPix to pull in my facebook contact pictures. This has worked great for me, better than the stock application updating them. I have it set to do it once a day and have not had a problem since I started using this over a month ago.

Is it just me, or do the stats in the Battery Usage seem to be off? I have had my phone off the charger since 6:00 this morning and I am still at 80%, so the battery life seems to be correct to me, but in the stats it is showing Cell Standby as 73%, Phone Idle as 22% and Display as 4%. It is also not showing any other applications like TweetDeck, which updates every 9 minutes or Gmail and so on, these are the only 3 showing. Before this ROM my Display has always been 50% or more of my usage.
It just seems to me that what is really being used is being put in to a different group than what is really being used.

I think you are guessing right. No way Display percentage could be that low.
I'm a first time rooter and I successfully flashed rubix focused 1.6 first try but now I dont know how to revert back to 2.2 ota stock. Before I flashed I backed something up in recovery mode but I don't know what I just followed instructions. If I choose restore will it take me back to stock 2.2?
And that will take me back to how thedroid came out of the box?
No it will only take you back to the state your phone was in when you made that backup.
...the closest you can get to out of the box with the backups is right after the point of root after you install bootstrap and clockwork (if you choose to make a backup at this point)since these enable you to make the backup.....the only way to go back to out of the box is flash sbf .
i hope this is ok as this is from another forum and is not my work ...all credit goes to sephtin.....i am posting this for everyone who would like multi touch with this rom ...it focus based and works great i have installed with no problem http://www.sephtin.com/rubiX/rubixFocused-PATCH-DefaultFocusedKeyboard.zip

I am a little confused with the questions and concerns around swype and multitouch keyboards. I installed this ROM last night and when I checked I have both versions of the keyboard?

you should have swype and the stock android keyboard ,....not multi touch ,the stock looks similiar but is indeed different, perfect way to double check though is to long press in the text field and select input method ....that will give you a list of keyboards you have installed to choose from

Another noob question...so if I don't like ADW I can install and run Launcher Pro on this ROM right?
only problem i had with this was that even when i used home switcher and made lpp my default every time i pressed the home button it would go back to adw...so what i did was just go to titanium and uninstall adw
