Default Swype for Fission 2.4.2

I'm running Fission 2.4.2 and was wondering if there was any way I could get swype under this ROM?

Yes, download it from Fission Rom Manager.

Fission doesn't install swype by default. Check /sdcard/Fission/DX_Swype.zip and flash that. Or, look in Fission ROM Manager. The package is available in there as well.

Thanks Steven58,

For some reason I thought the Fission folder didn't get installed by default anymore with the newer Fission releases.

I don't think the Fission folder is installed by default anymore....you have to download and install Fission Rom Manager.

Yeah, go to this thread (it may be a gray that you like):

Black, White, and Chrome for Fission 2.4.2

Download the second hotfix in the first post, the one with the blackout swype. You can see what it looks like in post #16.

I wish I could thank you more than once. I really appreciate it. It goes great with the theme and my color scheme.

I'm on the latest fission rom and I'm stumped how to enable Swype on my droid 2 global. I followed the instructions above. The program seems to be installed and Swype is located in the language & keyboard options. I've enabled Swype but when I attempted to use the program the keyboard is not pulling up on the screen. Any ideas?

Long press inside the text input box and when the pop menu comes up select "Input method" and change to swype.

I did this, swype is selected. There is no keyboard on the screen. I have to switch to multi touch keyboard to get the keyboard to pop up.

Figured it out. I had to go back to the stock rom and copy and paste the swype.apk found in the /system/apps folder to the sd card (using root explorer). Reload fission and just double click on the swype.apk. I'm assuming the swype.apk files I found online were not the same has the ones that came with the droid 2 global.
