Default HELP! Droid X won't start

I've had the phone about a week, worked fine until this morning. The screen froze when I tried accessing the droid marketplace. I tried to take out the battery for 30 seconds, put it back in, now it only shows the "M" Motorola icon. If I hold down the "Power" and "Home" buttons, nothing happens.

I can connect to it via USB, but that's about it. I can't toy with any of the settings on the phone (USB debugging) since I can't actually turn on the phone. Any advice??

Question: Are you rooted? If so, why did you brick? Were you flashing a rom?

If you answered yes to questions 1 or 3, sbf will fix you. The directions good and clear and are found in the following reference thread under letter "C" "unBRICKING"

I wasn't flashing, but I was using ESroot to browse my root folders. Could that have done it?
