Need help with rooting and flashing!
Hey guys, my name is Michael and I'm new to the forum.
I'm also (sort of) new to rooting and customizing an android device.
I have recently just used z4root to permanently root my Droid X and it worked fine.
Question 1: How would I unroot if I wanted to?
What will I need to do after that if I want to flash a custom rom? Nandroid Backup? Bootstrapper? Both of those things?
Next - I want to have a black notification bar resembling the bar in Android 2.3 Gingerbread. On another forum they couldn't really help me with the framework stuff and just told me to flash one of the latest versions of Apex. Is this the best option for me?
As you could see I am hopeless right now. Any help is extremely appreciated!
