Oh, and how does one add the launcher pro theme??
Sorry, I have only been rooted for about a day now....
The keyboard is the gingerbread keyboard. it can be installed through the apex toolbox, but fab's server is still down so youll have to wait until its back up before you try to install it.
Here's my current home. Very slick. Really loving it.
So i'm completely new to anything involving apks and roms.. how did you get the dock to display text at the bottom as well as the text at the top just below the notification bar?
Just wanted to share something with everyone about this, I was using the Black white and Chrome theme before this one, i flashed this one right on top and somethings stayed the same, like the keyboard has the outlines from the BWC theme with the 3D look.
The BWC does do some things pretty nice and if we could use some of this stuff and turn it blue to match the Honeycomb it would be pretty wild......

something i've been working on building up
I have been really happy with this one and figured i would just shoot out how the combination of the two looks. Keep up the great work!!!!!
Hey, ECF, first I wanted to say this theme is phenomenal! I absolutely love it and think you did an amazing job, however I do have to issues/questions that maybe anyone else here could possibly answer.
Now I am a newbie to rooting, I only did it a few days ago, but I did my research hardcore on how to get everything done right. That being said, there's still a lot that's over my head. I noticed two unusual problems after I flashed honeybread on my X. One is that all the Motorola widgets seemed to disappear from existence. I used both the Contact Quick Tasks and the Weather on my homescreens, but now when I bring up the list of widgets, they're not where to be found. I'm a complete sucker for those contact quick tasks too and I'm about ready to just start all over from scratch with RSD to get those back. If that could be avoided though, that would be ideal.
Also, I seem to have 2 completely identical 'clock' apps now. I also have 2 completely identical analog clock widgets. I attempted to simply just uninstall one of them but it wouldn't allow me.
Again I am new to rooting so I figured maybe this wasn't an issue caused by your theme but perhaps by something else entirely. Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions? It's greatly appreciated!
uh oh. I had a major problem with this theme today! Everything since install has been going fine until today. I had to reboot my phone but when after the boot animation it got stuck in a force closed loop. After wiping data, cache, reinstalling apex, reinstalling theme, using backups, I concluded it was the theme. After doing a fresh install of apex my phone runs well but once I install the theme... yeah loop central. Any clue how I can fix this cuz I love this theme and dont wanna lose it.
I need help, I forgot to make a back up before trying to do this then I did everything he said and it wont reboot passed the M symbol for motorola droid X.
So I'm curious, how do you move back from Apex to Stock? Would simply unrooting accomplish this? or would you do the steps again backwards or something...
I just want to TRY upgrading to Android 2.3

You do not need to flash back to stock to use gingerbread. You just have to wipe.

no
So I'll restore to factory settings using Bootstrapper to wipe, or should I just use the Factory restore in the Droid settings.
So will this unroot the phone? or will I have to do it again afterwards?
I really like this ROM (Apex) as well as the theme (honeybread). You have all done a great job.
I looked through the forums and did not see anyone mention this:
when playing Pandora, I do not get the music controls on the lockscreen. Is this not coded into the ROM or do I have some settings wrong? The music player lockscreen controls are there, just not Pandora.

yeah, the lock screen music controls only worked for the stock music player on apex. so your settings are right, its just the coding in apex.

yes, when you installed apex it should have gone to a black notification bar with white time and stuff up top
if it didnt then something went wrong in the install of apex it sounds like

ok so at this point you have stock apex on your phone and still have a black status bar with black clock/date?
only other thing I could think is if there was something wrong with the apex you downloaded. maybe try downloading it again...
heres a link Fabolous_ApeX_V1_4_1.zip
this is apex 1.4.1 for the droid X on system version 2.3.340 (double check to make sure your on the right thing)
if thats still giving you a black status bar with black time/date then I would try contacting Fab maybe
