Default nandroid restore question

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I just finally got around to updating my phone to 605 from 596. I made a nandroid backup before updating but forgot to backup some of my data to sd. Question is can i just restore my 596 nandroid or do i have sbf back to 596 then restore my nandroid?

Default

you have to sbf back to .340, and install the prerooted .596 then restore backup

unless there is a sbf file of the .596
