Default Droid X will not boot into recovery mode for flash of Liberty

Hi,
I have rooted my Dx, installed ROM MANAGER, Backed up using Titanium, and then launched ROM MANAGER:

1 - Flash Clockwordmod Recovery
2 - Boot into RECOVERY mode

I get to the part where the ! shows on the screen; I press the SEARCH key ONCE......and then it just sits there.

Help?

I'm certainly not an expert, but I successfully rooted my phone and flashed Liberty without bricking the thing.

Thanks!
