Default Changing low battery notification sound?

Is it possible to change that sound? I find it incredibly annoying.

Did you find anything on this? I have the x2 and it drives me NUTS. It's always at 100% volume no matter what my settings are. When I'm listening to music at 5%, the low battery alert is painful.

The low battery warning I don't think it can be changed. The sound file is most likely in your notification tones but as far as I know there's no way to link a new tone to it.

Looks like the sound file is located in system/media/audio/ui/LowBattery.ogg

Weather you can just replace it with an empty (silent) .ogg file I'm not sure.

To try it, you have to remove the read only permission from the file, then use a root file browser to delete, rename, or replace the file. Not for the faint of heart.

Here is a thread talking about replacing the camera_click file in the same directory:
How do you turn off the Shutter sound for the camera?
Post #6 and #10 describe how to do it.

Ahh excellent I posted that a while ago and never thought I'd get a response... i'm not familiar with the .ogg file extension so that makes me a bit uncomfortable but i'm sure with a little research its nothing too bad. Does anyone know how to go about editing / creating / saving a custom .ogg sound file?

There are lots of ringtone programs out there. Most can handle converting between .mp3 and .ogg. Do a web search for some and you will find tons.

Make sure you make a backup of the original file before you start renaming, replacing, etc. Better safe than sorry. You don't wanna come back here begging for a copy. I've seen than a few times, ppl looking for system files.
