Default stuck at the red M after SBF'ing twice

finally got the sbf to go thru but still phone will not boot up stuck a the M logo.....any pointers?

(edit) RDS says "manually power up this phone" but it's stuck at the logo no change

also since 2nd time i sbf'd it nothing shows up under the divice properties info/box

tried to flashing froyo but still the same problem, got into the recovery wiped out data/cache etc but still doesn't go pass the moto logo. i guess next stop is the garbage can.

I would say go into stock recovery and wipe everything but you said you did that. I would now redownload the SBF file to make sure you have a good file and SBF it again. The reason you don't see your phone showing up in RSDlite is because it will only see it in bootloader mode. And since you say you are stuck at the red M, you are not in bootloader mode.

If RSDlite is giving you trouble use the Linux cd to SBF. It's just as easy, if not easier, than RSDlite.

Please...not the garbage can! I'm sure someone can restore the thing.

I just sold a water damaged DroidX that doesn't power on on EBay for like $50. People out there want your non-working Droid X. If nothing else, sell it to cut down your out of pocket expense for getting a replacement.

I've used that sbf file bunch of times and never had any problems with it. Getting it into boot loader is not a problem at all but at the end when I need to reboot it it gets stuck at the M.... I guess I'll try the Linux cd and see what happens.

That always works, I'm not sure why the newer SBF files aren't yet available this way, or did I miss something, Coug?

The Linux cd method was updated to SBF with either .340, .596, or .602. Of course there is no .605 SBF file I am aware of so no Linux for that one,

Creating a bootable linux CD soley to SBF *headache free*

That's what I thought, I wasn't sure if there had been a new linux boot cd for .605 made. I suppose it is rather redundant considering the update is rootable after taking .602 on SBF
