Reason: doh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Should be another build tonight, or tomorrow (soon?) with fixed boot menu, but with Jakebites removed. Beans is just finishing it up now.
mms/sms fix I believe there's a patch for some other rom that fixes that. Sorry, I don't use that. You might want to inquire in that thread or start reading from half-way.
Camera I think still needs focus on infinity, which works fine for me.
Also read that mounting system before install isn't needed any more, but that's how I installed it and doesn't break anything, so the OP may change.
I haven't played with mine. Flashed, then had to go to my brother-in-laws for supper.
EDIT:

got it loaded, handcent FCs, but everything else seems to be spot on. will post more later as i get into it more.
anyone have a good sms/mms app that works with MIUI?
If you're running smartassV2 or interactiveX governor (overclocking) thru the boot men, there's a bug where if you select those govenors it will stick you in performance mode. You can run the regular smartass with no issue
ok, using go sms, works really good, a little confusing sending mms, but i'm figuring it out.
Anyway, battery life on this ROM is so far, the best I've run! Normal day yesterday, usual battery life would get me home with 20% or so, this ROM had me still at 74%. I would say "big win" on that one.
So far, the only FC I've gotten is with Handcent, so I deleted it and am using go sms with no negative issue.
all the apps are working so far, benchmark is decent, user speed feels pretty smooth and fast, browser is really fast. GPS and navigation working better than stock ROM and locked in faster than any other build of a 2nd init ROM I've tried.
Giive this one a shot, I actually downloaded with the browser on my phone from the dropbox site and flashed it at work (while I was supposed to be working, of course...)
I was on Wizard's MIUI:
created a backup in recovery
mounted system, formatted system
formatted cache, cleared Dalvik cache
mounted system, flashed Galnet MIUI
rebooted.
Although wiping data is recommended, it worked fine for me.
I don't have to work if I don't want to. I am an independent contractor at an auto repair shop, so if I choose not to work, I just don't get paid for my time. Besides, it was sloooooooooooooooooow that day, lol!
Is anyones else's custom ringtone not sticking? They were working fine 2 updates ago. I've also tried doing it through the themes but no luck, the notification work just fine. Anyone else experiencing this?

CM7 i think :P got it set up the way i want it for now and the battery has been pretty good lately.
ok, says to set ringtone by using the miui music app when you choose the ringtone you want. makes a little bit of sense, it is after all, a MP3 file i'm using, and my others are .OGG files
so, for anyone that asks:
go to settings/sound/ringtones/(choose which one you want to change) when the list of rings appears, at the bottom of the list there will be a "select from other app" choice to make. choose the music option and then pick your ringtone. done.
thanks, colchiro, for the link
