Default code corrupt keeps failing with rsd lite and linux wont work either

failed flashing process: interface BP: error sending ram download for bootloader. device api error: 0xE0000072 address: 0x180000 command addr (0xE0204072): phone connected

was trying to flash 602 sbf with rsd lite with win7 64 then tried linux and then red lite more times with same error on rsd lite

used rsd lite 5.4.4 first then tried using 5.6 same error

got it too work by actually making a cd for linux and sbf'ing that way. i think it was something on my pc screwing with the process. and also was using linux in a VM. got to this because my buttons are not working and this seem to happen after i downgraded to froyo to use wifi tethering. so i wanted to sbf back to 602 and see if that fixed it. still messed up and my volume goes all the way down then to silent mode by tself. guess its time for the razr, as i do not have warranty or insurance

sounds like you had a bad sbf download, did you check the md5? sometimes the download can become corrupt when moving it, or unzipping it.

but 9 times out of 10 it should work, but there are those few occasions when it backfires

yea could have been. i did redownload the sbf file the other day. my phone is still messed up though, but i think its about time to get something newer and faster. the x has been my friend for almost a year
