Default What ROM do you recommend over Apex??

I've been on Apex for quite a while now and I want to try something else. My X has been seeming to run slower and slower lately and I'm bored. Just want to know what everyone else likes besides apex. Also, what's the deal with the 2nd init roms? I haven't really followed any of that at all. What are the benefits to MIUI or CM7 roms? Any info provided would be very helpful! Thanks everybody! I've been away from the forums for a while, and since all I can do is sit around for the next week with my broken nose, I figured this would be a good time to start tinkering with my X again.

Cheers!

ps. looking for a rom that doesn't cause problems with apps. I'm not really into trying to troubleshoot problems right now.

I probably switch back and forth between ROMs solely because I get bored .

My favorite two these days are Vortex and Liberty (both have links in VS's stickied post with all of the ROMs/Themes).

I'm not really sure what is going on with CM7 for GB? There is a new link in the sticky, so maybe they have some of the issues worked out from late 2011. I see a lot of January builds so I might give one a shot myself.

Happy flashing! (That kind of sounds weird, but you know what I mean.)

I just went to MIUI from apex. Apex was a pretty good rom, MIUI is outstanding. Its like a whole different phone. A few bugs but they don't appear often. Mainly the answer screen can get jacked up sometimes graphically but it still works. The battery life is no comparison, my phone last much longer on MIUI compared to apex or stock. Id say try out MIUI.

I'm running MIUI-2012.2.1 and have gotten use to it. Battery life is the best of all that I have run (Liberty and CM7). Be warned that the "stock" launcher is iPhone-esque and if you have a lot of apps will take a while to organize. Other than that it is pretty fast and smooth.

Galnet MIUI FTW!!!! The build I've been on has the best battery life and is rock solid for stability.
Liberty was a little sketchy on mine, and the stock ROMs (.602 and .605) were pretty buggy as well
