Default How to Upgrade Clockwork Recovery

Ok, this may sound dumb, but its been awhile since I rooted my DX and I dont remember everything.

I am running Liberty GB .9 and want to install a newer ROM like Liberty 3.0 or CM7, but also thinking that I should update the bootloader and Clockwork Recovery which currently at 2.5.?? something or another.

Is this even necessary, and if so how do I go about doing that?

Thanks

Thanks. I did take the plunge and used Liberty's ROM manager to update to 3v2. I thought this would probably go ok because I was already with Liberty. But I had heard that some ROMs dont play well together and thought that I should do the flash through Clockwork if I want to try out CM7 instead of using Liberty ROM mananger.

SO when you say just flash them, are you saying that I can use clockwork to update itself by doing the flash off the sd-card just by choosing the updated zip file for clockwork?
