not flashing a ROM without a camera, too many problems arise with my work if I don't have pictures available to customers. Can someone please figure out a way to create a standalone camera app that has the drivers built into it? This way the ROM wouldn't matter and the camera would work when needed and only when needed.... bueller?

That's a cool idea, but I think the camera drivers are specific to phone model. So there would need to be an app that worked with just the DX and then it would need to be ICS compatible, which very few people have working on a DX.

No and I suspect it'll be some time too. There's just not enough devs for the ol' X any more.
For as much as I complained about needing a camera, I installed this last week. Battery life could be better. (Good thing I have the extended battery and don't use my phone much.) I used to have 80ish % by bedtime and lately it's been in the 60's. Still a smooth running rom is worth something as well.

BeansTown106 has camera working with external apps. Expect the stock camera app to work soon since CM9 has it working now and he just has to merge a few settings.

When I installed it my battery died in less than 4 hours. Then I realized it had the GPS set to be on. I turned that off and have been running all day no issues.

it seems good but I loaded this ROM with a 100% battery at 10am and just got a battery warning light. Hope it settles down or I just might go back to RC4 Apex and leave things be.
I'm stuck at the M logo.
I rebooted into CWM recovery, did a backup, wipe data/cache, wipe dalvik cache, installed the rom, rebooted, now its just stuck at the M logo.
What am I missing?
Never mind, I got it figured out. Thanks.

So how does the latest version compare to what I am currently running. (Liberty v2.0 w/GoLauncher/OC'd)
And, does the camera work?
Regardless, glad to see the DX is still getting some love. I don't plan on upgrading until I get hardware failure or something really incredible comes to market.

A bit snappier if I do say so myself. I hit it with that and quickclock and this is just playing much nicer. Better battery, much faster. I chose balanced for all my options and it seems to be good, what settings are you guys on, does aggressive work OK with MIUIv4?
I wanna try!! I wanna try!! I have the busybox and script installer in, now just downloaded the top V6 in the list, a zip file, is that the correct one?

Well, I did just graduate to bifocal contacts... lol somethings not right with my browser I guess, because at the bottom of the page from the link you sent, I click on the version you are talking about, and it opens up another window, but pops up some error about it not being pdf or something.. when I clear that, its just a blank page.. I'm going to the park w my kids so will try again later...
Edit: You guys must get a kick outta dudes like me.. it's save target as.... that worked.. lol

2.3.16 - CHANGELOG -Upgraded to newest MIUI V4 2.3.16
-Fixed ringtone force close by adding back MIUI music
-Fixed theme bugs
-Fixed Landscape bug from 2.3.16 test build (bobcaruso & AOKP)
-New Features ex. lockscreen and customizable toggle menu
Anyone else getting a Data Usage Warning in the notification bar that cant be turned off in this build?
There no option to disable it in the Settings> Data Usage menu (that i can find).
.1. Download Warning Size
to fix this open up the download app and hit menu button and goto Settings make file limit size 10mb and turn off warning.
2. Ringtone change
To select a Song as ringtone Launch MIUI music app and while playing a song hit menu and set as ringtone, all other ringtone bugs should now be fixed

I haven't switched to back to MIUI yet... still on Gummy and having disappointing battery life. It might be from Droid Overclock (which I usually don't run and have had trouble with in the past), but nothing shows up in better battery stats. I'll give it one more day, then give this build a try.
