I'm being throttled on their end. A script would do nothing. Thanks for the info though.

I was wondering when we were going to hear the story.

I'm usually under 300 meg per month and my stuff is always slow, even on my 5 meg home wifi (cable).

Thunderbolt is 4g and often a free update. (I know, I don't want it either unless it's free and doesn't push my next upgrade date back.)

You need to be like my brother-in-law was when he was shopping for a newer pickup... "Look, I don't want to be rude, but I'm not looking for a friend, I just want a newer truck. I know what mine is worth and what yours is worth and you're not going to give me what I want, so I'm just wasting your time and going to go home." (He got his deal eventually.)

UPDATE:

We have reached an agreement. After calling again today and being disconnected I finally got through and spoke to a supervisor named Jason. We went back and forth and finally reached an agreement on upgrading me to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for a significantly lower price. He understood my plight and was inclined to work his way of helping me. I will not say how he did it but he had to work a little supervisor magic to get it done. I will receive my phone tomorrow and will not have to worry about being throttled anymore, even though I do not have 4G in my area.

I just kept vigilant and stuck to my guns. When I explained that even though I would be upgrading to a 4G phone I would still be on the 3G network around my area and therefore would be on the same exact network I was being throttled on now but with a shiny new phone... he saw what I was trying to say when I said it was extortion that I had to pay more(new phone) to be on the same network I'm on now just without having to worry about throttling.

Flush pockets like you have, you should donate it to a MIUI dev.

Did I mention I'm donating my body to science?

I wish I had flush pockets... if I did I wouldn't have had to negotiate for the cheaper upgrade.
