Unhappy Possible to take another rooted droidX and do a titanium backup recovery?

Since i updated my droidx to 4.5.621, i lost the ability to root on TOP of losing ALL my info when i sbf'd, and my ability to restore a backup i made with titanium backup. My friend who didnt update has a droidx and still has root, and im wondering if it's possible to tibu all his info to his sd so he doesnt lose it, factory reset his phone, put my sd in, log in to my gmail, download tibu, restore all my apps, copy it all to my computer. (Then factory reset his phone again, log back into his gmail and restore his apps of course)
And then take everything thats copied and put it back on my phone?

Hes perfectly cool with me doing this, but before i put all his files at risk id like to know if this sounds possible first. Thanks!

those programs require root access, unfortunately without root access doing this method will not do you any good hopefully we can get a dev to get root access for this thing, we can always hope anyway
