Default Clear version on how to root Droid X 2.3.4 .621?

http://androidforums.com/droid-x-all-things-root/603489-how-root-2-3-4-4-5-621-magic-md5-does-not-require-milestone-sbf.html

I need clearer steps on how to root the droid X because I don't really understand this one.

So I burn the file onto a CD then I put the CD into the computer, restart the computer, go to safe mode and then plug in my phone to my computer and my computer will do everything else for me?

Im not a Dev but what i get from this is put the cd in your computer, reboot and let the cd boot up (this is not safe mode) make sure phone has USB Debugging enabled and the rest looks to be automatic.

Not as rough as it may seem reading the instructions.

I have been wanting to root my DROID X for a couple of months but scared of 'bricking' it . I just got another DROID X from my sister.
Today I downloaded the cd and ran it using the older phone just to see how it would go.
It was pretty simple, just read what little instructions there are and watch the screens.
Went well so I went ahead and did the newer phone and that worked out well, both rooted with out any trouble

Just read the directions thoroughly.

Make sure your computer is set to boot from the CD/DVD drive first and make sure your phone is in debugging mode. His directions are spot on. It is very easy indeed.

My DX (backup) has a camera button that is broken so i could not root. This method uses the other buttons instead and allowed me to root it. I rooted primarily to install a firewall application so i can pick and choose what data i use.

Read up on things (do your homework) and give it a try. Works VERY well.

Many thanks to "themib"..............

This couldn't get much more clear tbh.
Burn cd
Boot cd
Follow detailed onscreen instructions
Profit.

I am mostly computer illiterate and I rooted my DroidX with out to many problems.

I used a program to copy the .iso files to a USB drive.

Go to the boot menu of your computer and set the computer to Reboot using the USB drive

Follow instructions.
