Default This is a make or break for me. If you have an X, Please help.

How are the physical buttons on the front. I think they look a little cheap and cheesy? Maybe Im wrong. Are the solid? Feel strong?

I was curious about that myself and finally got to check one out myself. They didn't feel cheap or out of place to me. I can easily get used to them and I did like the tactile feel.

Played with the DX in store yesterday. They felt solid and fine. Only time will tell if they get loose and break. Nobody's had a DX long enough to know.

I also tried out a DX at a Verizon store yesterday. It was an activated phone and I fooled around on it for 20 minutes or so. The buttons feel great and are very responsive.

Reviews have been saying that they don't feel cheap or "plasticky".

The buttons on the X are very solid and nothing like the buttons on the dummy display models in the stores.

All the reviewers I've seen have been happy with the physical buttons.

Agree with the others, they feel very solid. I was actually not sure how I would feel about them either coming from button-less phones. But they feel great and I liked being able to feel what I was pressing.
