I do not believe that i have ever seen someone so excited for South Dakota!
I am however pretty stoked, as i have yet to see anyone with this phone. Granted, there are people that do have it, stupid store did sell out, but i look forward to all the oooos and ahhhhs my Droid X will recieve this weekend from all my BB carrying friends.
Just got my shipping noticed today, 7/22 at 11:11 AM CST. I'm excited that it's shipping early, but upset that even though it's been shipped, I won't get it until Monday, because of the weekend!
I'm glad a lot of you guys are getting your phones! Seems like they're catching up. I ordered over the phone 7/15 @ 6am and still have nothing. In an effort to reduce my stress and not call Verizon everyday, I told myself that if it does not come by 7/23, like they said it would, then I will call and see wtf is going on.
Alright, so I ordered mines in-store on the 19th, and called the support number today to check on the status of my phone, and I got my tracking number! It should be here before 3 pm tomorrow! Yeah!!!!

Went for the 10% promo instead of free overnite. Wouldn't let me do both. Only saved me $10 because I only paid $89.99. Should have paid the $10 so I could have my phone tomorrow. Dam had to fall on a weekend. Ohhh well at least ill be getting my phone soon wish the would deliver on sunday.
Ordered on 16th and had to change my shipping address earlier this week.
After I changed my address the status changed to:

I have not received any emails other than the initial one...
Update: Seems it was shipped on the 20th and the email was sent to my primary verizon email address, not the one I specified in the order. Package was sent to the old address this morning, but will be delivered to my new address tomorrow.

I called in to Verizon to ask about my shipment date. It hasnt changed from the Aug. 3rd. I mentioned that I had already been charged and he gave me a free HDMI cable which will ship tomorrow.
Might be worth calling in considering it 24.95 on the website.

Good battery life, currently at 15% at 6:31AM 7/23/2010 after starting phone about 3:45PM 7/21/2010 or 11h 35m since unplugged and 15h 12m since boot. The red led (lower power?) just started flashing. Used a lot yesterday (screen, data service, and Wifi mainly, only one call). Before going to bed used the "Power Control" (Android 1.6 Version Update (Donut) adds new Power Control Widget) widget from Android widget set to turn off everything.

So i called this morning via the #611 and the rep told my phone order was not in the system and to check with the store i ordered it from (i ordered on the 18th). Before i freaked... I called the 800 # and the other rep told me that thier system is under going updates so nothing is showing up for the next few hours. She advised to call back in a few hours. I did call right before 7 am est.
Just wanted to give ya'll a heads up...

as a business account holder, I noticed the status totally disappear from the orders page 2 days ago. I think their planned upgrade to the system last weekend was ill timed with all of the Droid X orders coming through. My guess is that there have been bugs since then. I want my phone!!

I wish i could see my status online but i ordered in store to use my $100 discount with NE2 and to bill my account. Crossing fingers I find out something today though.

Same boat here. I keep hoping, but nothing yet. Ordered 7/19 (replacement). Told (several times) it would ship 7/27. At this point, I'm just hoping that doesn't get pushed out. I'm leaving for business travel on 8/2 & won't be back until late 8/6, then leave for vacation on 8/7; not back until 8/16.

apparently they are back up and running.... on the phone.. on hold wiht a rep while she's looking further into my order. hopefully she f inds out where my phone is
I'm getting a little impatient! I ordered mine on the 15th, and it still hasn't shipped, however I am seeing where people who ordered theirs at late as the 20th are receiving their phones... I don't understand Verizon sometimes.

Just called verizon CSR, my X is in local fedex facility!!! WOHO!!!!!
Order placed on store for replacment due to faulty camera 7/18/10 shipped 7/22/10 delivery by 7/23/10 before 3:00pm

OK so now that I found The "Official Status of your Order page"... I ordered the X yesterday 7/22 evening. At least I think I ordered it, I left a deposit at the VZ store. Not sure if it will arrive there more quickly as opposed to online order. Anyhow as posted earlier elsewhere I can wait. VZ says I'm in for unlimited data for now as well. The battery in the old LG Voyager goes to it's knees every time I check email. Hope it arrives soon.

I know it's only a matter of a day, but heck, I really feel like they should do at least that.

it really is frustrating as hell to see people who order AFTER you, get theirs before I've even received a tracking number/shipping notification... VZ f-ed this up big time in my opinion. but, iv'e learned my lesson... never again will I order online from them.
I orginally ordered an HTC incredible. We had some problems with verizon. I ordered mine on 7/21 and was told I would get it 8/3. I called verizon today and got a Fed Ex tracking number and should get it Monday.

I was telling myself this too. I never received any sort of order status or tracking number... Long story ahead:
After placing my order on the 15th about 6:00am with overnight shipping, calling back the 16th when it didn't show up and being told my order got stuck in the system and I would have it by the 23rd, and calling the 18th to complain and told I would definitely have it by the 23rd, I told myself I would leave Verizon alone and wait until the 23rd like they told me.
So of course my phone did not show up today. I had them ship to my work, and FedEx shows up here every morning about 9:00am.
I called *611 and asked the rep, Ivan, to check the status of my order and he said the manager of the rep who took my order on the 15th rejected the order that same day! So when I called back on the 16th and 18th, and the reps assured me I would have it by the 23rd, it turns out my order didn't even exist!
Ivan told me he did not know why it was canceled, and that I should have been called back that same day to fix the problem. He was, however, able to give me a better deal on the phone. Instead of $299 with mail in rebate + $20 early upgrade fee, he gave it to me for $199, with no mail in rebate and no fees. Unfortunately he said it would not ship until 8/3.
I told him that I wasn't upset at him, but frustrated at how the situation was handled and that I should have had my phone a week ago. He agreed, and told me that if there was anything in his power that he could do to get the phone here sooner, he would, but he did offer me a $50 credit which I accepted.
I was assured that my order would go through this time without needing approval by any manager, and that I would receive a tracking number in my email when the phone shipped. I spoke to him less than an hour ago, and my account page is already updated with the order.
So if you ordered and have not heard *anything*, like I had, you should probably call back. Chances are they screwed up. I am not completely satisfied, but at least now I know for sure there is an order for me, and hopefully I'll get lucky like a lot of people in this thread and my order will ship early.
Woot woot....just got Fed Ex shipping notification!!! Shipping from Ontario, CA, ship date 7/23/2010, estimated delivery 7/27 by 4:30pm.
I think this is the only time in my life that I have been mad that it's the weekend! LOL
Same here, estimated delivery date 7/26 to SF bay area. Ordered 7/19 via internet. I was in the ship by 7/27 group so all things considered not bad. If I badgered the local retailers enough I may have found one by now but finally decided it wasn't worth the hassle.
