Question Droid X goes dark in multimedia dock

When I put my DX in the multimedia (desk) docking station, the main screen (with the large digital clock numbers) goes dark.

if i tap it to go to another screen, it brightens up and looks fine, but when I hit the Home button, it goes back to the clock and darkens.

Any suggestions?

It is dimming itself. If you look on the left side, the third icon down will look like a sun, tap this and it should brighten up.

Where do you get the docking station from? I didn't see it online. Have to go in the stores?

I had a hard time finding it, too. At VZW, go to accessories and look for "browse bundles". Then you can select Motorola > DroidX to find the docks.

THIS. The Droid did the same thing.

I ordered the multimedia docking station and received it today. But my search on Amazon.com yielded only one item. And obviously that was the docking station for the Droid as I found out today when I received the package.

So they must not be too easy to get yet. I'll return this and try again tomorrow.
