Default Droid X Ringing Tone is not very Loud

Is anybody else having an issue with the low volume of the DROID X?

I am having trouble hearing my ringtones.

Its not nearly as loud as my last phone (Samsund Blackjack 2).

You can make your ringtones with apps in the market. Mine are loud enough.

That doesn't sound like a very good reason. At all.

I used MP3 Gain from the web to increase the dB level of my ringtone of choice, then use Ringtone or Ringdroid from the App Market to assign it as your ringtone (they both look EXACTLY the same to me, so no clue what the differences are). My phone rings plenty loud enough now. I had the same issue on my last phone, so I knew what to do immediately.

Yep, I just readjusted ringers that were lower to increase their volume. No problems now!

The only thing I will say is that if my phone is laying on a surface that will absorb a lot of sound (example: on the couch cushion) then it doesn't sound very loud if the speaker is laying on top of the couch. But if it's on the coffee table, night stand, etc. with the speaker pointed down (screen side up) then it is plenty loud for me

I've heard a lot of people complain about the speaker volume. Dunno if I got lucky or if I'm just not used to a super loud speaker (coming from an iPhone) but I love the volume level of the X...never have a problem with Pandora or any player

With my hearing it is a very good reason, not to mention that it is my money I'm spending.

my old phone took up less space, rang way louder, vibrated like a jackhammer, and took an absurd amount of abuse....
