When I first got the Droid X I was able to add news feeds widgets with no problem.
While trying to extend my battery life I seem to have changed a setting that will not allow me to get or add news feed widgets anymore - error 'Can't add news subscription now. Try again later.

Under settings>applications>running services I see 'NewsWidgetProvider' and 'NewsRetrievalService' so I am not sure why this is happening.

Any suggestions?

You have to go into Settings/Data manager/Data Delivery/Social Applications and UNcheck "Sync ovcer Wi-fi Only".

Otherwise, you will get errors on adding news feeds as well as checking for updates.
