Default audio hack?

is there a way to make the x volume louder than the system will allow? audio hack won't work on the x

Only way I have found so far is to root and and do the 2.2 leak update but i know some don't want to do that and I can understand.

you do not need root to update to the 2.2 leak.
I updated to 2.2 and my speaker is now louder as well.

wow I recently went from rooted 2.2 back to 2.1 and I did not notice any kind of volume increase at all. If there was, it wasn't enough :/
