Anyone else noticed that Gmail is not pushing properly? Appears to have been happening all day on my DX (2.2). Manual refresh pulls emails from varying times (saw several at one hour+ between receipt and pull).
Hope it's a temporary glitch with big G's servers.

I've been having push issues today as well...it was working fine until today...hopefully this is temporary.
I archived like 5 emails from my phone this morning when I woke up. When I got to school and got on a computer the emails were still in my inbox (2 hours later). It usually archives them in my Gmail too not just on my phone.
Gmail (droid) has also been saying I have 3 new emails or something and then not showing them no matter how much I refresh.
Those of you that are having issues...have you logged into your Gmail account from a desktop computer lately? I was having an issue with a message indicator in the dock bar hanging up (said I had 1 and I had already read it). Logging into Gmail from my PC and clicking the message fixed it.

That's not the issue. It's not pushing to mobile devices at all for some accounts. This seems to be a problem on Google's end so I suggest those with the problem to just hang tight, there's nothing we can do about it.

I realize it's not the issue, but it was an issue none the less that logging into gmail from a PC fixed. I was just asking the question to help troubleshoot. I'm sure it's on Google's end, but some may be able to get by in the mean time. So I ask again...

Same here, stopped working yesterday and still not working today. I can manually check my gmail but new ones are not pushed. Tried clearing data, reset app, reboot everything but still nothing

Hm. Are you using a task killer? I know you've wiped a few times, but I want to make sure you aren't restoring apps when you do so.
Not using any task killers and have not restored/reinstalled any apps after the sbf reload.
My steps in testing:
1) SBF restore
2) Activate
3) Load ROM
4) configure gmail
5) test send/receive.
6) Configure corporate email and hotmail
7) test send/receive
8) boot into recovery, wipe cache
9) test gmail again
10) Get frustrated and want to throw X out the window.
Oh I forgot to mention, I've tested this both on 3G and via wifi. neither one makes any difference.
At first I thought it was the 3G service here, lately VZW's 3G here in Central CA has been averaging 50 kbps (yes kilobits). So I put it on my wifi (20mbps) but it still doesn't work.

yeah, my x has been giving me issues with syncing emails since yesterday too... i did a hard reset because i thought it was something else, but it still is doing it...
"Back up my data" and "automatic restore" under privacy in your settings. Are those checked when you're doing the wipes? There was a thread that said restores weren't as effective when those options were checked. It's a long shot, but that's really all I have left lol

I have them unchecked. I normally leave them checked, but I unchecked them to do troubleshooting.
It seems many people have experienced this issue since yesterday morning, so it sounds more to me like an issue on the gmail server side.
Looks like its back to working, I haven't touched any settings on my phone today and I just now finally got an email notification. I tested it after that and sent myself an email and it worked again. So two emails in a row and worked perfectly. Hoping it stays this way.
i was having the same problem - Gmail stopped automatically PUSHING post-Froyo-update on BOTH of my Gmail accounts. the solution that worked for me is a HARD RESET. ERASE/WIPE your Android phone clean and then manually reinstall everything one by one. this is the only thing that permanently fixed the post-Froyo lack of Gmail PUSH for me. the Gmail clear cache data works but ONLY TEMPORARILY (~24 hours). it's now been 2+ weeks after my hard reset and both of my Gmail accounts now PUSH sync flawlessly. my guess is that when you update the OS version you need to start clean on the Gmail sync and the only way to do this is a HARD RESET.
