Somehow, all of my text conversations were just deleted from my Droid X. I can't seem to find any way to retrieve/restore them. Anyone know if it's possible to retrieve them somehow...or at least without having to use some sort of SIM reader? I knew I should have downloaded the SMS Backup app when I saw it the other day. Appreciate any help.

Same thing happened to me today.... hundreds of text messages gone. I have had texts from years ago saved.

I dont believe this is possible for the everyday user..

To avoid this in the future, I would recommend you download "TxtArchive" from the market. Its an amazing program for someone that likes to save texts like I do.
