I also notice that when I plug in my phone USB to my computer it reboots, before it never did that.
Is it possible to go back a version? If I do a factory reset it may take it back to pre 2.2 and I am okay with going to 2.2, I just don't want this 2.3.340.
Or other ideas?
My TP Link Wireless router is running in mixed mode, because I have mixed devices. Note my droid is not rooted, I never don't anything "special to it", didn't even know about the android system recovery menu and clearing cache until today. Tried it and it didn't work.
I also don't know how to backup my OS if I try another update, how to go back in case it doesn't work

Dude, I have been plagued with Droid X wifi issues since day 1 in my home. I just did a couple of things that I found in another forum/post and I'm back in business. I too have 2.3.340 and my wifi kept coming on, then going off... over and over and over! First of all, there are several other posts telling you to disable N mode and just use b/g and set wireless security to tpik, etc, etc. I saw where one guy just used his phone in airplane mode and wifi worked fine, and I tried that and it worked. Still pissed that I had to do this I found another post that gave this advice:
was having the same exact problem and turning off QOS did the trick. I also switched back to WPA2[AES]
[copy of instructions]
Disable WMM (WiFi Multimedia) in your router.
a. Login to your NETGEAR router.
b. Go to QoS setup menu.
c. Uncheck 'Enable WMM' option to disable.
d. Click 'Apply' button.
e. Log out and cycle router's power.
So far, so good. I have a Netgear wnr1000 router and I've been up and running constantly for 30 minutes now. I am so happy to have found this. Hope this helps you!
