Cry where to put mp3 music files on droid x to show up in the music player

Where on the phone, which folder, do I need to place the files on Droid X for them to show up on the music player?

I moved them to mp3, albums etc but they dont show up on the music player. If I browse to the file and then click it, it starts playing in the music player app.

But how can I get the music player to see the mp3 files and play them in a sequence?

thanks!

If they are mp3 files, you can put them anywhere on the SD card, and the music program should pick them up. Most people just make a folder called Music and put them in there.

I did that.. Or at least tried, then I realized I probably have 8-10 different folders containing music.

I also have noticed that music doesn't show up right away. I have to restart the phone to get it to show in the music player.

Yes, true. It did take a while and I did restart (for some other reason) before the music showed up. I wish they provide a better music player.

I've restarted twice. How long does it take before the music files show up? I am not good at waiting. Thank you.
