Default Broken Screen ordeal

I'll try to be as short as possible

Had a droid X. Screen broke, nothing visible, but everything else is fully functional. I replaced it with Incredible 2, contacts won't sync. USB debugging not enabled on X, cannot see. adb.exe will not see either phone (connected devices list is blank). Droid Explorer will not see either phone, even with debugging enabled on the Incredible 2.

I can connect either phone and browse SD card files, but I do not know why adb won't see them ...

I tried looking for videos to navigate menus on my X to enable debugging to no avail.

No. Insurance at $8/month adds up to a new phone anyway. I got the Incredible 2 for $30. There's no repairs in sight if that's what you're asking.

Sorry to bump.

Would it help to use a mac rather than a pc? I have both on hand, each with the Android SDK

What about taking the phone to the vzw store to see if THEY can sync them?

How do you know everything's functional if the screen is broken?
