Question Swipe lock go away!!!

No matter what settings I set, I cannot get the swipe lock screen to go away. Even if I disable all security, it always comes back when the screen dims. How can i get it to stay away?

... Or Autounlock or Mylock. There are tons in the market. My problem has been GB killing them while they run in the background. GB's memory manager is really aggressive. So to solve that, you need AutoKiller Memory Manager (THIS IS NOT A TASKKILLER). If you're using a pattern lock, and Bouchigo has a nod in here but you have to be rooted and I believe deodexed. It's in these forums under "all things root" here : http://androidforums.com/droid-x-all-things-root/344529-mod-remove-slide-lock-when-pattern-lock-set-u-v4-5-596-a.html

Can you clear the cache for the swipe lock? Where is the file?

Funny, another thread on here talks about not being able to get the swipe lock screen to appear and this one is just the opposite. In my experience, the lockscreen function broke going from eclair to froyo. On the original DX with eclair, I could do any combination of swipe unlock, pattern unlock, both or neither. Once froyo came along and still with gingerbread, my choices without any 3rd party apps were either to have the swipe unlock screen only or have to do BOTH the swipe unlock and the security unlock. My preference prior to froyo was to do a pattern security unlock only. The only way I've been able to get rid of the swipe unlock is to use a 3rd party app. NoLock is a simple one that I use that allows you to have no lock screen at all, swipe or pattern. Or, you can have swipe unlock only...or BOTH swipe unlock and pattern unlock. To have pattern unlock only, I use another app called AntiLock. It's kind of buggy and lags sometimes, but it does have an option to eliminate the swipe unlock but use a pattern security unlock only.
