Default Keyboard Problems - Motorolla Droid

Hello,

I have a Motorola Droid X. I love the phone, and part of the reason I bought it was because of things I read on this site. I have asked a few questions before and have received some great answers - thanks.

For the past week, while texting / dialing phone numbers / commenting on FB / basically anything I type, my keyboard freezes and locks the entire phone. I can sometimes get to the home screen, but the keyboard remains there. It usually happens when I type some sort of punctuation mark.

Has anyone else has this problem, and if so, is there a way to fix it?

When Android 2.2 was installed on my phone, I had this problem and had to erase everything and start over. I would prefer not to have to do that and reinstall all of my apps.

Thank you very much for your help!
Scott

Try using a different keyboard in market. There are tons of keyboards in the market to choose from! Many of them are even free.
