Default Disabling the red shutter button

Because of a new case I bought depresses the red shutter key on the side of my Droid X, I was wondering if there is a way to disable this red shutter button. Thanks for any help yall can render!!

Did you buy the right case for your phone? Sounds like you may have gotten one for the Droid X2, which doesn't have that button. But I don't know of a way to disable that button, but someone else might.

I'd say take a Dremel to the case and modify it

I would also like to disable the camera button as well. I'm surprised it's not an option.

...Or simply disabling the function that automatically starts the camera app when the button is depressed should be sufficient, if anyone is aware of a way to do that.
