Default Still crashing after factory reset

Droid X is taking a very long time to boot - if at all. Maybe 3-4 battery pulls and it would finally come up. Also apps "force close looping" to the point that nothing worked and I was forced to do a battery pull. I did a factory reset but this behavior continues.

I know I can start in safe mode to uninstall possible 3rd party app problems but I haven't reinstalled any 3rd party apps yet.

Any ideas?

Thank you!
