Default Possible Dead Screen

My Droid X has been working perfectly up to when I ordered my upgrade a couple months ago. I left the X on the dock for a couple months and honestly forgot about it until the other day. When I attempted to power it up, I only saw a single horizontal line on the screen. I did a battery pull, but now I can only tell that the backlight is coming on - nothing else is displayed on the screen. It seems that it's booting up through because the notification light will eventually start flashing and I will hear notification sounds (it connects through WiFi and still has Gmail & Facebook configured).

I don't think the battery is the issue because I attempted to power it up without the battery, and the screen does the same thing.

I'm too afraid with SBF'ing if I cant' see what is on the screen. Has anyone seen this issue before?

You may need to reposition or even replace the LCD screen, it costs ~$20 (droid x lcd | eBay), and expect to pay another $30-$40 for the repair... Nothing serious though, I would have fixed it for you but I'm too far from where you are ))
