The lock screen flashes for an instant, but the phone immediately goes to home or whatever app is running. If the security code is required, the lockscreen with sliders does appear. This just began today, I've been using the phone with current ROM for weeks.

I've been uninstalling any recently added apps., though nothing big was added recently. I've never installed anything that specifically modifies the lockscreen. I'm running GO Launcher EX as a Launcher replacement. I froze GO and went back to the stock Launcher after rebooting, but no fix. Wiped cache, no fix.

Droid X2, Android 2.3.5 rooted, Eclipse ROM 2.0.1

Because this sounds like it may be rom specific I have moved this to the DX2 root forums. The folks here should be most qualified to help you resolve your lock screen issues
